Description

Audio Account Director

Are you passionate about audio, commercially creative, and ready to lead from the front? We're looking for an Audio Account Director to join a team that’s redefining what’s possible in the audio space—across radio, digital, and beyond. You’ll be at the centre of high-profile campaigns, working closely with leading media agencies and bringing standout ideas to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing a dedicated agency patch, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things audio—helping partners unlock the power of a market-leading portfolio of audio brands and audiences. From creative responses to briefs to proactive pitching and smart airtime trading, your focus will be driving commercial success through innovative, insight-led solutions.

Alongside core audio responsibilities, you'll also spot and develop cross-platform partnership opportunities across publishing, events and branded content where relevant.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Relationships

  • Lead the response to audio briefs and pitch commercially sound, creative ideas that meet client objectives.

  • Build strong, strategic relationships with AV investment and partnership teams at Account Director level and above.

  • Champion the audio proposition through inspiring presentations, education sessions and immersion experiences.

  • Keep agency partners up to speed on new developments, creative innovations and brand opportunities.

  • Take the lead in airtime trading, identifying creative ways to upsell, cross-sell and maximise revenue.

Market Knowledge and Innovation

  • Stay on top of developments across the audio and digital audio sectors.

  • Build a deep understanding of your agency patch, clients, and the wider competitive landscape.

  • Use insights to inform both proactive pitching and creative responses to briefs.

Creative Sales Process

  • Interrogate and prioritise incoming briefs using planning tools and CRM systems.

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments—Strategy, Creative, Production, Insight, and Marketing—to deliver effective, award-worthy solutions.

  • Proactively identify new opportunities and develop strategic, multi-platform campaigns.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience working with leading media agencies, ideally within audio.

  • A strong existing network across AV and partnership teams.

  • A confident, consultative sales approach, with a track record of both airtime trading and delivering complex creative partnership campaigns.

  • Passion for media, with a particular enthusiasm for audio and digital innovation.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both internally and client-facing.

  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and confidence using CRM systems, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • A collaborative, solutions-focused attitude and the drive to make things happen.

Why This Role?

You’ll be joining a collaborative, ambitious commercial team with the opportunity to lead on major campaigns, drive revenue across a growing platform, and help shape the future of audio. If you're ready to make your mark and take ownership of key agency relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
